The Flying Lizards

The Flying Lizards était un groupe anglais de rock expérimental et new wave avant-gardiste formé à Londres en 1978 par le producteur de disques David Cunningham avec des musiciens avant-gardiste et d'improvisation tels que David Toop et Steve Beresford, ainsi que des chanteuses principales Deborah Evans-Strickland, Patti Palladin et Vivien Goldman. Le groupe comprenait également le peintre anglais Michael Upton.

The Flying Lizards sort un premier album éponyme 'The Flying Lizards' en 1979 qui contient trois singles. Le premier single est "Summertime blues" sorti en 1978, suivi du second single "Money" en 1979 qui est un hit au Royaume-Uni et aux etats-Unis, leur plus grand et unique tube. Enfin sort le single "TV" aussi en 1979. Le groupe sort en 1980 le single "The laughing policeman" sous le pseudonyme The Suspicions.

The Flying Lizards sort ensuite leur second album 'Fourth Wall' en 1981 dont seront extraits trois singles, "Move on up", "Hands 2 take" et "Lovers and other strangers", mais l'album fut un échec commercial.

Le troisième album de the Flying Lizards, 'Top Ten' est sorti en 1984 et deux singles en ont été extraits, "Get up (Sex machine)" et "Dizzy Miss Lizzie". Enfin un quatrième album produit en 1978, 'The Secret Dub Life of the Flying Lizards' n'est sorti qu'en 1996!

J'ai retrouvé ceci dans ma malle... il est encore en bon état mais plus moyen de le lire , il va falloir que j'investisse dans une nouvelle platine disque ...
